GMC JadeBlast consists of a totally naturally occurring blend of Pyroxene and Almandite Garnet, both known for natural hardness, durability and abrasive characteristics. Jade is a member of the Pyroxene family.

Mined and processed in China, GMC JadeBlast is free of any heavy metals or toxic components and meets all occupational health and safety requirements. The unique blend of Almandite Garnet and Pyroxene gives GMC JadeBlast a superior cutting speed and surface profile over most commonly used abrasives.

It is a general purpose abrasive used in steel fabrication and bridge maintenance to remove rust, mill scale and weathered coatings and at typically less than 0.5% free silica and total chlorides of 10-15ppm, GMC JadeBlast meets even the most stringent industry and military specifications.

GMC JadeBlast grains clean deep into cavities and pitted areas down to bare metal, thoroughly removing all rust, soluble salts and other contaminants. The blasted surface is free of embedments and free of rogue peaks and troughs and SA 2.5-SA3 white metal is achieved and an even surface profile of 45-55 microns. A non-toxic abrasive, there is no silicosis hazard, leachable heavy metals or radioactive contaminants.

GMC JadeBlast is processed to the highest standard of quality to meet strict GMA Garnet in-house quality standards, in respect of mineral purity, chloride levels and free silica content. It is available loose inside either a 1,000kg (2,200lbs) or 2,000kg (4,400 lbs) bulk bag, with an inner liner and on a pallet.
