GMA Garnet Group established in Perth, Australia by the owners of Ketelsen Enterprise and Jebsen & Jessen Group of Companies who have been distributing GMA Garnet in Australia, South East Asia, Middle East, Europe, Africa and America for over 20 years. Jebsen & Jessen is a diversified international group of companies with an annual turnover of 1.5 billion EUR and staff strength of 5000 over 50 locations worldwide.

The Group is the leading supplier of industrial almandite garnet and meets a constantly growing demand that is highly diversified. GMA Garnet is used as a blast medium in the surface preparation industry to clean ship hulls and service ships, construction of expertly manufactured trains, laying of record breaking pipe lines and the fabrication and maintenance of giant on-shore and off-shore structures for the Oil & Gas Industry. 

GMA Garnet has several advantages over conventional abrasives. It is virtually dust free and has twice the productivity on most blasting surfaces.

GMA Garnet (Europe)
GMA Garnet (Europe) GmbH is the European market leader of abrasives providing high efficiency natural mineral abrasive for water jet cutting and sandblasting applications since 1991. Based in Hamburg with branch offices and dedicated distribution partners in most European countries, the company has been distributing consumables and spare parts for water jet cutting machines since 1999. GMA Garnet (Europe) GmbH is also a member of the Jebsen & Jessen Group of Companies in Hamburg.

GMA Garnet Middle East FZE
GMA Garnet Middle East FZE started its operations in Jebel Ali Free Zone in 1999 providing product and service support to customers in the UAE, the Middle East and Caspian Region. 

Following 15 years of marketing high quality garnet abrasive in the region, a fully integrated garnet processing facility was built in 2004.

The DH5 million facility with the capacity of 50.000 metric tonnes per annum adds flexibility and high level of local product availability as well as substantial cost savings to the operation.  Having an environmental responsible option for companies to recycle their used garnet made the company the only abrasives supplier offering garnet and recycling facility in the entire GULF and Middle East region. More than 25,000 metric tonnes of used garnet has been recycled to date.

The company also pioneered the construction of the largest bulk handling depot within the Jebel Ali Free zone- Dubai on top of the handling of 105,000 tonne loose / break bulk and 1,500 tonne container cargo facilitated via the bulk handling facility.

GMA Garnet (Arabia)
GMA Garnet (Arabia) established in 2005, in Jubail, Saudi Arabia is a joint venture between GMA Garnet and Global Suhaimi Company. Global Suhaimi Company established in 1976 is one of the oldest and well respected companies in Saudi Arabia offering specialised services in surface preparation and corrosion control.

In 2007, the Garnet Processing and Bulk Handling Plant in the Industrial City of Jubail in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia was successfully completed. The unique facility with a build up of 30,000 m2 is in the heart of one of GMA Garnet’s most important global markets in maintaining its position as the region’s leading distributor of high quality Garnet abrasives to the Oil & Gas industry. GMA Garnet is approved and in use by Saudi Aramco, the world’s largest oil producer.

The Bulk Handling and Processing Plant has the capacity of receiving up to 20,000mt of loose bulk GMA Garnet for processing and packaging. State-of-the-art processing and handling equipment enable the processing of up to 15,000mt of used Garnet from the field into GMR Quality Processed Garnet that meets stringent quality requirements.

GMA Garnet (USA) Corp, a wholly owned subsidiary founded in February 2006 marked a new exciting phase of growth for GMA Garnet Group by venturing into one of the world’s largest industrial markets.

Based in Houston, Texas, GMA Garnet (USA) Corp offers a full product range for blast cleaning and waterjet cutting including consumables and spares to the Gulf Coast and around the country with strategically located warehouses in Los Angeles and Seattle and loose bulk handling plants in Philadelphia and New Orleans. 

The loose bulk handling plant in Reserve, New Orleans also houses the newest and largest recycling plant among the four GMA Garnet recycling plants in world. The US$2 million plant completed in 2009 has the processing capacity of 20,000 metric tonnes per annum providing garnet users an environmentally friendly and cost-effective means of disposing used garnet.
