Management changes at Geraldton

Mr Martin Taylor, the Group’s longest serving employee at 39 years and currently employed as the General Manager – Operations, will now coordinate the Group’s garnet recycling, geology and product development efforts as the Group’s Technical Manager.

As the Group continues to development and expand around the world these functions are becoming much more important and hence we are fortunate to have someone of Martin’s capability and experience leading these efforts.

Mr Dean Schwarz, GMA’s Geraldton based Production Manager, has been promoted into the role of General Manager – Operations. In this critical role Dean oversees all Australian mining and processing operations and is directly responsible for maintaining GMA Garnet’s exceptionally high quality of garnet production. A Minerals Science and Chemistry graduate from Murdoch University (1996), Dean has 15 years of experience with the Group in all aspects of the Geraldton and Port Gregory operations.

Ms Amanda Gundry, GMA Garnet’s Technical Services Manager also based in Geraldton, has been promoted to the position of Production Manager. In this role, Amanda will primarily be responsible for the Geraldton dry processing operations and for coordinating production to meet budget and shipping obligations. Amanda has over 4 years of experience in handling GMA’s technical and production issues at both the wet and dry processing plants. A graduate from Murdoch University with a Bachelor of Science, Amanda spent 5 years working as the Biologist for Cognis, the world’s largest Beta-carotene algal production site at Port Gregory prior to joining the Group.
