Quality Chinese garnet available worldwide from GMA Garnet's Chinese venture

Quality Chinese Garnet – GMC Garnet™ and GMC Jadeblast™ are now available in global markets with the establishment of a new business venture in China by GMA Garnet Group in the first quarter of this year.
The Group’s newest enterprise is based in Rizhao city in Shangdong province of China. According to Group General Manager Aaron Williams, talks on the new venture commenced in April last year and progressively led to the successful setup of GMC Garnet (China) Ltd with its garnet processing facility and warehouse.
“The facility will initially produce around 24,000 metric tonnes per annum, which will grow as our worldwide sales efforts expand,” said Mr Williams.
The mine produces both the standard sandblast and waterjet grades and will also produce a 20/40 mesh grade product for particularly thick sand blasting applications.
“The new range of quality Chinese garnet complements our existing product offerings at competitive pricing,” Mr Williams added.
GMC Garnet™ is crushed rock garnet and consists of totally natural Almandite garnet and is free of any heavy metals or toxic components making it suitable for most areas of surface preparation including stainless steel, anti-magnetic steel and all special alloys.
GMC Garnet™ can be recycled up to three times depending on the application due to its toughness and low friability. GMC Garnet™ is available in 25kg (55lb) paper bags or in loose bulk form in bulk bags.
The Group has also developed an entirely new abrasive product – GMC JadeBlast™ for the world market produced from the Rizhao mine. GMC JadeBlastTM is a general purpose blasting abrasive consisting of a totally naturally occurring blend of Pyroxene and Almandite Garnet.
This natural blend offers fast cleaning of the surface while still producing a surface profile around 70 microns (100psi at the nozzle) and is suitable for use on most materials from bare steel to mid-level coated surfaces.
GMC Garnet™ and GMC JadeBlast™ are processed to the highest standard of quality, meeting strict in-house quality standards for mineral purity, chloride levels and free silica content.
